This week I'd like to feature the oversized magazine/book entitled; The Steranko History Of Comics. It was published in by Supergraphics, i.e. Jim Steranko himself. The book is not truly a history of comics, as it just covers the beginning of the industry, and just covers early comics, but it still well worth owning, even today.

Though nowhere near complete, it's still a great "search" book. My only qualm is that it's too darn big with pages matching the size of most newstand papers (think National Enquierer), and printed on cheap /5(6).

One of the phrases was "Eepaa." We learn eventually that it is a reference to the EPA.Vociferous debate didn't visibly sway the non-Kirby fans, and ultimately these comments won't sway non-Steranko fams, but it's worth re-appraising the merits of an artist.
I'm a recent admirer of Steranko's art, only having started collecting his output since roughly before the 1st Shield collection, and I do feel his reputation is deserved.
